grooming great teachers

A Continuous Learning Experience

The collaboration of UCR faculty, undergrads, K-12 teachers and students, is an on going process designed to improve student achievement and bring to the forefront the best teaching practices possible, while also grooming the next generation of great teachers.

Project ISIS

Project ISIS involves the collaboration of young women at the undergrad level, UCR faculty, and credentialed teachers at the middle school level. These undergraduates, who have shown an interest in careers in mathematics, are guided on a pathway to teaching and other careers in the field.

California Mathematics and Science Teacher Initiative (CMST)

The CMST provides undergraduates with the opportunity to be mentored by public school teachers and administrators, all with the goal of pursuing and gaining a teaching credential or advanced degree in mathematics or science, or to acquire an internship with a public school system.

School University Partnership Initiative (SUP)

SUP supports a collaborative effort between teachers, administrators and UCR faculty. The Partnership provides educators with a stronger grasp of the content they are teaching and access to relevant technology, while learning best teaching practices, all of which will benefit the college eligibility of K-12 students.

P-20 Regional Alliance

The P-20 Regional Alliance engages UCR with other organizations across the educational spectrum with the goals of improving teacher quality in Inland Empire Schools, and improving the number and diversity of college eligible students in the region.

National Science Foundation Mathematical ACTS

ACTS is a project, funded by the National Science Foundation, based on the partnership between UCR and the Jurupa Unified School District. The goal of ACTS is to improve student preparation for Algebra I mathematics classes.

CHAMP

CHAMP brings together MATE participants, University Community Teaching Fellowships in Mathematics and Science students, and K-12 teachers to create and test instructional strategies in mathematics.
