The ALPHA Center provides opportunites for college students who are considering becoming teachers in the fields of math and science. These innovative and interactive programs are designed to instill a passion for teaching math and science in the future, by providing learning and teaching opportunities in a school setting.California Mathematics and Science Teacher Initiative (CMST)
CMST offers professional development and mentoring for college mathematics and science majors who want to become teachers. Annual apprenticeships, books and resources are given to participants to enhance their teaching in 4th through 12th grade classrooms.
I Strive I Succeed (ISIS)
ISIS offers professional development and mentoring for college mathematics and science majors who want to become teachers. This program is open to schools in the Ontario-Montclair school district. Annual apprenticeships, books and resources are given to participants to enhance their teaching in 4th through 12th grade classrooms.
School University Partnership Initiative (SUP)
The UCR School University Partnership Initiative connects the resources of the University with the talents and vision of the K-12 educational community to address the needs of their students, teachers and schools and provide opportunities for undergraduate professional development.
